Owensboro, KY – Windy Hollow Speedway hosted two nights worth of racing on Sunday, August 2nd.
The event kicked off with make-up features from the July 26th event that was rained out before the features were able to be run.
In the July 26th bomber feature, Jacob Richmond picked up the win in his first appearance of the 2026 season. Russell Murray finished second followed by Kody Vanover.
Chevy Burgess dominated the make-up feature for the mini stocks with Jim Waters finishing second followed by Owensboro’s Travis McDaniel.
Joey Summers continued his winning ways in the Rusty Bolts with James Embry and Chris Bunch completing the podium.
In the Crown Vic Oval, James Dockery scored the win followed by Mike Royal and Jonathon Tatum.
Jansen Morris was the winner in the make-up feature for CRUSA Street Stock followed by Jeff Maysey and Matt Kelley.
Owensboro’s Justin Case scored the perfect birthday present with his first career win in the Jr. Crown Vic division with Noah Wedding finishing in second followed by Brayden Shelton.
Following the make-up features, the attention turned to the Back to School Bash presented by Fischer Towing and Recovery. The event included school supply giveaways for the kids, a special tribute for the late David Fischer, NASCAR ride alongs and a night full of side by side racing action.
In the 15-lap Crown Vic Oval feature, Memphis Indiana’s Jeffery Cranmer rebounded from an 11th place qualifying effort to take home the win in the $750 to Win race. Camden Rudd finished second followed by Morgan Vanover.
In the Economy Feature, it was a hard-fought battle between Anthony Plumeri and Jayden Porter in the opening laps of the event, before Plumeri took advantage of a restart to take the lead and cruise to a feature win. Morgan Vanover finished second followed by Porter.
Jacob Richmond continued his domination in the Bomber division taking home his second victory of the night followed by Terrence Phelps and Kody Vanover.
Newburgh Indiana’s Jim Waters took home the win in the Mini Stock feature followed by Michael Fletcher and Jared Ball.
In the Rusty Bolt feature, Colin Boone was the winner followed by James Embry and Joey Summers.
Owensboro’s Zach Dennis was the winner in the 602/604 Crate Late Models followed by Jeff Maysey and Dustin Rollins.
Jansen Morris led flag-to-flag in the CRUSA Street Stock Race followed by Jeff Maysey and Matt Kelley.
Fourteen-Year-Old Justin Case scored his second victory of the night in Jr Crown Vics followed by Blake Tatum and Langston Morris.
Windy Hollow Speedway will return to the track on Sunday, August 9th for $1000 To Win for the Mini Stock Division presented by Fulkerson Tile.
