Summers Wins Rusty Bolt Special at Windy Hollow Speedway

OWENSBORO, KY (June 15, 2026): Windy Hollow Speedway hosted six exciting racing classes on Sunday, June 14th at the 3/8 mile dirt oval.

 

The event was highlighted by a Rusty Bolt special featuring a stacked field of cars that battled for $750 To Win.

 

In qualifying, Owensboro’s James Embry set quick time with a lap of 17.260 seconds and earned the $100 Fast Qualifier bonus presented by EZ Auto Parts.

 

James Embry would continue with his strong showing by capturing the win in the first heat race for the division, with Colin Boone taking home the win in the second qualifying race.

 

In the feature, Morgantown’s Joey Summers would charge from his eighth place starting position to capture the win in the caution-filled feature and take home the $750 check on the front stretch. Kyler Sneed finished in second followed by James Embry.

 

In the Economy feature, Morgan Vanover took home the win in the No. 00 entry followed by Mark Van Winkle and Curtiss Lee Stallings.

 

Belton Kentucky’s Russell Murray took home the feature win in the Bomber division with Bill Moorman finishing second and Waymon Bratcher earning a 3rd place finishing position.

 

In the Mini Stock feature, Beaver Dam’s Jared Ball had a hard fought battle with the T2 of Trey Duncan, but at the line it would be Ball taking home the win followed by Duncan and Zach Witt.

 

James Dockery continued his hot streak in the Crown Vics taking home his second win of the weekend followed by Morgan Vanover, and Brian Whelan.

 

Rockport’s Matt Kelley took home the feature win in the CRUSA Street Stocks followed by Jeff Maysey and Josh Tyler.

 

Windy Hollow Speedway will return to action on Sunday June 28th with the Summer Nationals.
