Last Lap Pass and First Time Winners Highlight Opening Night at Windy Hollow

OWENSBORO, KY (March 29, 2026): Windy Hollow Speedway opened a new chapter on its historic lore with the season-opening race on Saturday night under new ownership.

 

To kick off the season, Windy Hollow Speedway welcomed both the Midwest 410 Thunder Sprints along with the Midwest Mini Sprint Association for a high energy show that did not disappoint.

 

In the Midwest Thunder 410 Series, Cameron La Rose made a last corner pass to secure his first career feature win over Trey Osborne. Jadon Rogers finished third.

 

In the Midwest Mini Sprint Series, Johnson Ginder picked up where he left off in 2025 to secure his first win of the 2026 season. Dillsboro’s Indiana’s Zach Roell finished in second followed by Adam Hirsch.

 

In the Bomber feature, Owensboro’s Carson Rudd returned to the track to pick up a feature win over Bowling Green’s Matt Stuart. Troy Herode finished third.

 

In the Mini Stock feature, Mike Ritteberry of Oak Grove put on a dominating performance over Jared Ball and Kaleb Casey.

 

Owensboro’s James Dale Embry out-dueled his father, James Embry, to pick up his first career win in the Rusty Bolt division. Max Yunker finished in third.

 

Beaver Dam’s James Dockery led flag to flag to pick up the win in the Crown Vic Oval followed by Camden Rudd and Morgan Vanover.

 

In the CRUSA Street Stock Series, Nic Brooks took home the win after a mid-race pass on Chase Estes to secure his first stock car win in several years. Matt Kelley finished in third.

Windy Hollow Speedway will return to action on Sunday, April 19th featuring CRUSA Street Stocks, Crate Late Models, Rusty Bolts, Bombers, Mini Stocks, Economies and Jr Crown Vics.
